The cardigan is worked from top-down.  

Sizes available: 1 (2, 3, 4, 5) (6, 7, 8, 9)

Chest circumference (including cardigan band - not overlapped): 
38.25 (42.25, 46.75, 49.75, 52.25)(55.25, 59.75, 62.75, 65.25)”
97 (107, 119, 126, 133)(140, 152, 159, 166) cm

Maria has a chest circumference of 54" / 137cm and wears a size 4 (49.75" / 126 cm) with 4.25" / 11 cm negative ease.

Length from underarm (short version):  9 (9.5, 10, 10, 10.25) (10.5, 10.5, 11, 11)” /  23 (24, 25.5, 25.5, 26) (26.5, 26.5, 28, 28) cm

For the long version we added 16" / 40cm to to the body length.

Gauge: 16 sts and 22 rows = 4” / 10cm in stockinette stitch on larger needles Body (knitting flat)

20 sts and 26 rounds = 4” / 10cm in stockinette stitch on larger needles –Sleeves (knitting in the round)

Yarn: Worsted Weight

Yarn Used: Lana Grossa - BASTA  (50 gr / 1.75 oz = 109 yds / 100m)

Colour used in orange sample: 006 

Colour used in beige sample (long version): 002

Yarn Requirements:

747 (883, 991, 1087, 1189) (1328, 1449, 1591, 1677) yds. 
683 (807, 906, 994, 1087) (1214, 1325, 1455, 1533) m.

For the longer cardigan sample, we used approximately 5 extra balls of BASTA

Needles:         
3.25mm (US 3) for collar, cuffs and bottom of cardigan
5mm (US 8) for main body, or size required to obtain gauge
