BRICK & MORTAR ACCESSIBILITY

FRONT ENTRANCE

The shop's front entrance is on a raised sidewalk, with a concrete ramp for anyone who uses a mobility aid or those who may need assistance navigating steps.

We do not have an automatic door at this time, but we are always happy to assist by holding the door open as you enter and exit.

PARKING

We have a free parking lot directly outside of the shop. At this time, we do not have designated accessible parking spaces, but all spaces are available to customers and visitors.

SHOP LEVELS

A portion of our stock is located on the lower level of the shop, which is accessible by stairs with a handrail.

If accessing the lower level is not possible or comfortable, our team is happy to bring up any items for you to browse on the main floor.

SHOPPING SPACE

Most areas of the shop are designed to allow for comfortable navigation. However, there are some tighter spaces depending on layout and displays.

During busy periods or special events, pathways may become more limited at times due to increased foot traffic. If you need assistance accessing a product or navigating the space, please let us know and we will be happy to help.

RESTROOMS

Our customer restroom is located on the lower level and is only accessible via stairs.

SERVICE ANIMALS

We welcome both pets and service animals. Service animals are permitted in accordance with applicable regulations. 

We kindly ask that all companions remain close to you or on a short leash while in the shop. 

PRODUCT AVAILABILITY

Our café menu, as well as our entire product catalog, is available online through our web store, allowing you to browse and plan ahead at your convenience.

AMBIANCE

We typically play music in the shop and maintain a lively, social atmosphere.

During special events and sale periods, the shop can become significantly more crowded, louder, and more stimulating than usual. While we will always do our best to support individual requests when possible, adjustments to sound or environment may be limited during peak times depending on store activity.

EVENTS & SALE CONDITIONS

During special events and sale periods, The Knitting Loft experiences a significant increase in foot traffic.

This may include:

• Higher crowd density throughout the shop
• Limited space to move comfortably in certain areas
• Increased noise levels and overall stimulation
• Longer wait times for entry, checkout, and assistance

These conditions may make navigating the space more challenging than usual, particularly during peak hours.

To better serve our community, our sale events always include an online component so that customers can participate whether shopping in-store or from home.
