Duo is a very comfortable year-round yarn. A great alternative for people who find wool itchy. The wool makes the yarn lighter and more elastic and insulates better than pure cotton. Cotton is not an itchy fiber. The blend of merino wool and cotton makes this a light and soft yarn that insulates well.
The supplier to Sandnes Garn has guaranteed that the wool used in their yarn does not come from sheep that have been subjected to mulesing.

Care: For best results, hand wash and dry flat. For machine washing, it's recommended that all wool blend garments be washed separately on a wool program, to ensure the gentlest treatment. Due to the unique absorbency of the merino wool, it is important to centrifuge hand-knitted garments well before drying them on a flat surface, preferably on top of a towel. Never use a laundry bag when washing hand-knitted wool garments. This creates friction that can cause the garment to felt.
