Where’s My Sari Silk Yarn is a bulky-weight yarn full of character and charm and One Of A Kind 100% recycled silk fibres from Sari production. Every skein is unique.
At 100 g, yielding a lively 100 metres, this yarn offers pure knitting joy and delightful surprises. Perfect for adding a striking effect to a pattern or creating a fun, colourful garment.
Working with Sari Silk Yarn is always an adventure. You never quite know which colours will appear until your project begins to take shape. If you know the feeling of “just one more row,” this yarn will keep you hooked with its playful unpredictability.
In the weaving of traditional sarees in India, countless delicate silk threads are left behind on the looms. Instead of going to waste, these threads are gathered, hand-cleaned, and spun into new life using traditional tools such as the Takli (drop spindle) and the Charkha (spinning wheel). The result is a lively and sustainable yarn, rich in colour, character, and history.
Enjoy the pleasure of knitting with this vibrant silk, as fun to work with as it is to wear.
PLEASE NOTE: Because every skein is one of a kind, it isn’t possible to choose specific colours. We will always do our best to select skeins that harmonize if you order more than one. If you have a preference for a certain shade or tone, you’re welcome to leave a note at checkout, and we'll try to find the closest match for you.

Use mild or neutral detergents with a relatively neutral pH level, preferably those marked for silk care or wool. Do not use heavy-duty detergents or those containing enzymes or bleaches.
WASHING INSTRUCTIONS
By hand: Ensure the water temperature is steady, lukewarm or around 28°C/82°F. Add a small amount of gentle detergent, submerge your silk garment, and soak it until completely saturated. Rinse two to three times in clean water, ensuring it is the same temperature. Press the water out of the garment, place it in a washing bag, and spin it in the machine using a gentle to medium spin program.
By machine: Please exercise caution if you choose to wash in the machine. We recommend washing a swatch first as a test. Use a washing machine with a silk/wool setting and a gentle cycle.
DRYING INSTRUCTIONS
Lay the garment flat on a clean towel and reshape it as needed. Leave it to air dry away from direct sunlight or heat sources. Do not hang to dry.
