Tussah Tweed is an exciting and exclusive yarn with fine tweed neps and a very interesting texture. It is processed in a way that doesn't kill the silkworms, using the cocoons of wild butterflies which are allowed to flee the cocoon before it is processed into silk. Tussah Tweed is very stable and feels a bit rough at the beginning, but gets softer and softer the more you wash and wear it. For this reason, it is not only suitable for hand knitting, but also for the knitting machine, for weaving and embroidery.
