For a limited time starting April 26 you'll be able to enjoy 20% OFF STOREWIDE (no product exemptions) on our curated collection of luxury yarns, tools, and accessories. 

To help our entire community participate comfortably, our event unfolds in phases, allowing you to choose the shopping experience that best suits you. How the Event Works

During LYS Weekend, makers from across Toronto and around the world join us to plan projects and stock up on their favourites during one of our biggest events of the year.


To allow us to keep the event efficient and manageable for everyone, we make a few temporary adjustments to our regular operations, and roll out the sale in phases. Check out our complete event schedule below so you can start planning!

In-Store Sale

Sunday, April 26: 9am - 5pm

Local shoppers are encouraged to explore the shop in person before the online event begins, so you can:

  • See colours and dye lots up close
  • Browse yarn shelves and fibre textures in person
  • Avoid shipping and pick-up wait times

Our team will be available for wayfinding and stock retrieval only during the event (in-depth craft support will be unavailable) in order for us to keep the shop moving smoothly for everyone. We ask that you please plan your shopping list in advance, and get in touch with us before the event for assistance.

Please Note: Exchanges/returns along with our seating area will be unavailable from April 26 until we re-open on May 5.

Online Sale

Sunday, April 26 (6 PM EST) - Tuesday, April 28 (11:59 PM EST)

Shop from the comfort of your own home, from anywhere in the world!

  • Discount automatically applied at checkout with no code needed. However, you must ensure the discount is applied to your cart before purchasing. For those who have their cart pre-loaded (before the sale begins) you will need to refresh the page to confirm the discount is applied or else you will be charged the full amount, and we do not offer retroactive discounts
  • As our team prepares your orders behind the scenes, please anticipate longer fulfillment times, and note that we will not have customer support available until we re-open on May 5. We encourage you to plan your shopping list and questions in advance, and get in touch with us before our service closures

Service & Shop Closures

Once the sale begins, we won't be able to accommodate in-depth consultations, pattern searches, project planning, and specialized craft support.

Check out our official service schedule so you can plan in advance:

  • Email and phone support closes on April 23
  • Last day for in-store specialty support is April 25 (please anticipate longer wait-times as we get closer to the sale)
  • Brick & Mortar Closed temporarily for order fulfillment from April 27 - May 4 (online shop and pick up remains available throughout)
  • Services resume as normal on May 5

While this structure is different from our usual operations, it allows our team the time and ability to process a high volume of orders for our diverse community, and we thank you so much for your patience and understanding.

Plan Ahead

Before the event begins, we recommend planning ahead for the smoothest shopping experience, and having the following ready before the sale begins.


If you have accessibility needs and would like help planning your shopping list or the best way to enjoy the sale, we’re here to assist. In the days leading up to the event, we offer both in-store and email support to help with product selection and preparation before services temporarily pause for the sale. Available Stock Levels

Our website displays current inventory beside the orange circle on each product page.


If you don’t see a number beside the circle, that means more than 50 units are currently available.


Because inventory moves quickly during sale events, it can also be helpful to have a few alternative options in mind when planning your projects, as we cannot hold specific colourways or dye lots before a sale.

Pro Sale Tips & FAQs

Over the years, we've noticed a few things that can catch shoppers off guard during these events. We’ve prepared a list for you so that you can avoid the most common surprises, and just focus on the fun part of celebrating this moment with us.

Specialized and in-depth craft support is temporarily unavailable.

During sale events our team focuses on inventory retrieval and processing orders in order to manage a higher energy retail environment, which means in-depth craft support temporarily pauses.

If you’d like help with yarn quantities, colour planning, or pattern ideas, we recommend reaching out before the event begins so we can give your project the attention it deserves.

Prepare some yarn/colour alternatives (just in case).

Because inventory moves quickly during sales (and we cannot hold products beforehand) specific colourways or dye lots may sell out earlier than expected. We recommend having a few options on hand if quantities become unavailable.

If your project depends on an exact dye lot match, we recommend shopping outside of sale periods when our team can provide more detailed assistance.

Winding & order holds are unavailable.

Due to the high volume of orders, we are unable to offer our winding services, and cannot hold orders (even if requested). Orders are shipped as placed and as they are ready. Should you require a strict timeframe for order delivery, or cannot use the yarn if unwound, we ask that you shop outside of this event period when we have more control over fulfillment and processing times.

We cannot guarantee dyelots.

Due to the extremely high volume of orders, we cannot commit to checking dye lots as we normally do during regular operations. While customers may request specific lots, or share lot preferences, we cannot guarantee availability.

If customers require specific dye lots/colour tones, we recommend shopping outside of our final sale events, when our usual support and exchange policies are back to normal.

Double-check your cart before checkout.

Sale orders are processed exactly as placed and can’t be edited once submitted.

That means we’re unable to combine orders, adjust items, or apply discounts after purchase.

Taking a moment to review your cart before clicking checkout will help ensure everything is exactly as you want it.

Faster shipping methods don't speed up fulfillment.

A common misconception is that selecting a quicker (more expensive) shipping method will make orders arrive quicker.

However, we process orders in sequence (as the orders were placed, not by quickest method selected). Therefore, selecting faster shipping methods will only make your order arrive quicker once we have actually fulfilled your order, but it will not speed up fulfillment time itself.

Please anticipate longer fulfillment times as we process a high volume of orders.

Pick up orders can take 3 - 7 business days to fulfill.

It is common during our sales for pick up orders to take 5 - 7 business days to process due to the high volume of orders.

Should you require a strict pick-up window (due to travels, work, project deadlines, etc.) we recommend:

  • Arranging an alternative pick up person
  • Selecting a shipping method instead
  • Shopping during our in-store sale window

We unfortunately are unable to rush pick-up fulfillment and cannot change orders after they've been placed.

Wait for your "Ready for Pick Up" notification.

If you choose in-store pick-up, please wait until you receive your ready-for-pickup notification before coming to the shop. This ensures your order has been fully prepared and prevents you having to come back if the order isn't ready yet.

Sale policies are strictly enforced.

All discounted purchases during sale events are final sale, and discounts apply only within the official event window.

Plan for carpool, transit, or drop-off if possible.

Free, but limited, parking is available in our main lot, with additional street parking nearby. For the easiest access, we strongly recommend using ride-share, public transit, carpooling, or drop off.

In-store and online sales happen separately.

Our yarn sale begins with an in-store event, followed shortly after by the online sale. Running both simultaneously prevents our team from delivering the level of organization and accuracy required during high-volume events. By staggering the event, we are able to ensure a smoother experience for everyone participating. We appreciate your understanding as we work to balance the needs of both our local and global communities.
