Post Velum - Greeting Cards

Lisa Di Fruscia, an avid knitter and former co-owner of Espace Tricot in Montréal, has recently refocused her entrepreneurial energies towards that of an artist photographer. Her current artistic practice reflects the Daily Wanderings of an ORDINARY LIFE – where she contemplates and ruminates, reflects humanity back to humanity, and seizes the beauty of the moment – all the while leaving space for the unknown...

Using photography in conjunction with the written word, Lisa invites the viewer/reader to layer and intermingle their meaning and experiences to her art, therefore, making us collaborators and co-creators – ever evolving and transforming our understanding of ourselves, the other, and the world we live in.

"This series of images reflects a photowalk where I stripped away the colour in order to see flowers in a new light. There were textures and shapes, highlights and shadows, contrasts and juxtapositions, and without the bias of colour I saw beauty in every detail of every flower."
