16" / 40 cm and 32" / 80 cm circular needles, sizes 4 / 3.5 mm and 5 / 3.75 mm or size to obtain gauge

Stitch marker, tapestry needle

20 sts and 32 rows = 4" / 10 cm in St st with both colors held together using larger needle
