Sisu is a soft, durable utility yarn reinforced with nylon. This makes it ideal for socks, but because it is so soft it has become a favorite for utility wear, layered under snowsuits and jackets. It has also been a favourite for knitting Norwegian kofte sweaters since the early 1980s, because the structure of the yarn brings out the pattern of these traditional knitted jackets. Garments knitted with Sisu have a long lifespan and can remain just as beautiful for several generations as it was when it was first knit.
The yarn is superwash treated to withstand frequent machine washing.

Care: For machine washing, it's recommended to wash all wool garments separately on a wool program, to ensure the gentlest treatment. Due to the unique absorbency of the merino wool, it is important to centrifuge hand-knitted garments well before drying them on a flat surface, preferably on top of a towel. Never use a laundry bag when washing hand-knitted wool garments. This creates friction that can cause the garment to felt.
