Whether you're welcoming customers on the shop floor, preparing online orders, organizing the stockroom, crafting a steamy latte, or helping bring new ideas to life, every role at TKL contributes to something bigger: creating a space where people (team and community) feel a genuine sense of belonging.

What You'll Do

No two days look exactly the same at The Knitting Loft.

Depending on your experience, strengths, and the needs of the business, you may spend your day:

  • Welcoming and assisting customers
  • Recommending yarns, tools, and patterns
  • Organizing and restocking the shop
  • Preparing online orders and in-store pickups
  • Receiving and processing new product arrivals
  • Creating beautiful displays
  • Preparing café beverages and serving customers
  • Supporting community events and special projects

We're a collaborative team, and everyone jumps in where they're needed.

🧶 Fibre Experience

Knitting or crochet experience is certainly an asset, but not a requirement.

Our ideal candidate has enough fibre knowledge to confidently learn how to help customers choose yarns and substitutions, but we also recognize that great team members come with different strengths.

📅 Availability

Team members are typically scheduled between 2 - 5 shifts per week (depending on being hired for full/part-time positions) with shifts ranging from 5 - 9 hours.

Schedules naturally fluctuate based on business needs. This position requires availability across weekdays, evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events. Candidates with full availability, or weekend availability, are preferred.
