You have a genuine passion and love for chatting with people about fibre arts, and especially, helping them find the right yarn/tools that will simplify and enhance their making journeys.
You keep a close eye on the shop's organization and aesthetic, ensuring customers are positively mesmerized during their visit, and you can't wait for the next yarn delivery to dive through!

Your Team
You’ll be working alongside other Yarn Concierges, Stockroom Coordinators, and the shop’s owners (all of whom share a vision for providing exceptional and inspiring service).
Starting Rate: [available during open application periods]
Hours
Seeking Full-Time Availability: 4-5 days per week (32-40 hours)
Part-Time Entails: 3-4 days per week (28-30 hours)
Shifts vary and are scheduled at the owner's/manager's discretion according to weekly needs and the position you were hired for.
Applicants must have flexible availability, be able to work weekdays, evenings, and weekends, including long weekends and Boxing Day.
Highlighted Responsibilities
- Making customers feel genuinely welcomed during their visit
- Supporting customers throughout their visit (from pattern discovery to colour personalization)
- Processing and displaying new product arrivals
- Managing POS system and transactions
Physical Requirements
This is a physical position and requires you to work in-store (672 Wilson Ave.). It is essential that you are able to perform such tasks as moving boxes, standing for extended periods of time, climbing on ladders, carrying items up and down a flight of stairs, etc.

Along with your cover letter and resume, please include the following info to help us get a better idea of where you are in your unique making journey:
- Your knitting level (Beginner, Advanced Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced)
- Your knitting experience: think of this as your “professional” knitting experience. Have you taught a beginner before? Have you been an active member in any fibre communities or groups? Have you worked at a yarn shop before?
- Your knitting/crocheting skills: What are some of your top proficiencies? Seaming, finding patterns, reading patterns, fixing mistakes, teaching beginners, colourwork, etc.
- Any additional fibre arts/crafts that you know/practice
- Before sending your application please attach 3 knit/crochet projects you most want to share with us
