These lovely bags are made by Claire, who started Haute Tote in 2015 after her daughter was born. Her daughter was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis at 2 weeks old and it was from this that her journey with creating bags began. Sewing and creating was a way to help cope with the stress and anxiety of her diagnosis and Claire soon realized how rewarding and therapeutic it was and what a wonderful community of makers there are.
Claire's family live in Aberdeen, Scotland where she discovered the most beautiful wool fabric made on the Isle of Harris, Harris Tweed. She began experimenting with mixing the tweed with leather and eventually the belt bags were born!
Each bag is one-of-a-kind - choose the combination of fabrics you like the most! The bag has 2 lined (metal) zipper pockets. Adjustable belt length between 24"-40" with a 1.5" side-release buckle.
One thing that has always been important to Claire is supporting and bringing awareness to Cystic Fibrosis, so for every bag sold $5 goes to Cystic Fibrosis Canada.
