Pegulhal is a breed specific yarn made of Bordaleira da Serra da Estrela and Portuguese Merino (native Portuguese sheep breeds). This is a fingering weight yarn for knitters who like non-superwash wooly yarns, dyed in the wool and ideal for stranded knitting projects.
Pegulhal will bloom and soften considerably after being washed. It's recommended to wash and block when swatching to determine gauge.
Pegulhal is made from the wool of free range sheep. Mulesing is not practised in Portugal. Not bleached and non-superwash.
